The Central Staff Training and Research Institute (CSTARI), Kolkata, under the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, has inaugurated a week-long Training of Trainers (Pedagogy) programme under the PM-SHRI (Prime Minister's Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs) Scheme.
The programme is being attended by 76 Government ITI instructors nominated from the States of West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, and Meghalaya.
The primary objective of the programme is to strengthen the pedagogical competencies of the instructors and equip them with industry-oriented, learner-centric, and competency-based training methodologies. Through this programme, the participants will be exposed to modern teaching techniques, effective classroom management practices, innovative assessment methods, and skill-based instructional approaches. The training is expected to enhance the quality of instruction in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and contribute to improving the employability of trainees by aligning skill development with the evolving needs of industry.
