Season’s greetings and welcome to the Central Staff Training and Research Institute (CSTARI) Kolkata.

It is a premier institute with a sprawling campus of approximately 16 acres located in the biggest IT hub of eastern part of the country at Sector V, Salt Lake Kolkata. Since its inception CSTARI has taken several initiatives to design & revamp curricula for Vocational Training on a pan India basis. It has consistently striven to retain currency and relevance in addressing the contemporary skill needs of industry. In its journey so far, the CSTARI has evolved to align the different curricula in various schemes of the Directorate General of Training with the National Skill Qualification Framework.  CSTARI have travelled from its beginning way back in 1968 and to have continued to adopt its delivery of training and research to the changing requirements of the skill ecosystem and the economy. CSTARI is also a pioneer for building capacity of Vocational Instructors with its domain expertise in the area of Pedagogy to enhance quality of the delivery in skill training. And I am pretty certain with the dynamic teamwork of all our faculty, staff, employees, collaborators, stakeholders and  trainees, , we will be able to achieve the maxims of CSTARI to add value to the skill ecosystem and to anchor within itself the expanding research and development aspect of skill training curricula.

Our effort in developing curricula as per contemporary need of industry and achieve ultimate objective to develop employability of desired people will be fulfilled with holistic participation of all stake holders. CSTARI invites all stake holders to come forward voluntary and add value to different courses that are imparted across the country. We also request trainers and managers engaged in skill training to participate in our training programmes to build their capacity for training and managing skill eco system. With collective efforts we can make changes in our society and contribute in our nation building.

Accordingly CSTARI invites whole hearted cooperation from all stake holders to add value into the skill development system of the country.
